My attempt at 3 kids in the leaves

You know, it really wasn't all too bad since Layna stayed less than a minute. Judah is looking at the camera, though he has that "look" going on. Owen is smiling and squinting and Layna is thinking, this is a little too close for her comfort. Just glad I got them in the leaves together before the rest of the leaves get cleaned up . . . soon, I hope.

Happy 4th Birthday Owen!

Owen celebrated his 4th birthday in fine style. We had a CARS party at MeMa's and Pop Pop's house. It was complete with a pool ball game, ball pit, Mater, and Mac. We rounded out the afternoon by watching the movie in MeMa and PopPop's movie theater. Lots of fun was had by all. One thing Bri and I got a kick out of was that the twins thought they were just as "big" as everyone else and found their seats at the table for pizza and later cupcakes. So cute. Also, Jess made an appearance with baby Eli. Btw: She swung by on her way home from the hospital, having just given birth to him 2 days before . . . love you Jess!

soccer time!

Owen has had a soccer "class" this fall. The last class had been rescheduled from last week, he was the only one to show up. So we all enjoyed kicking, throwing and spinning balls around. Much to my surpise, Owen has done quite well and become a very good kicker. At this stage in our kids' lives, Layna is the best thrower. Judah really seems destined for football as you can see in the left picture as he is positioned over the soccer ball like a football player. They are all lots of work, but lots of fun too these days. Aww . . .

These guys stole the show while I was waiting with a bunch of other parents to see Owen's class' Harvest Parade. They just decided today was the day to hug and love on each other while in there stroller. Though they been in here a hundred times before, this was the first time I saw all of this. Another really cute thing they did was chase each other around the loop from our dining room to living room to kitchen. Really, really cute . . . I just want to freeze this age (minus the teething and tantrums of course :-)

I called my sister up one day when I looked outside and everything screamed FALL to me and asked her to come to the pumpkin patch with me. It turned out to be a wonderful day to go and made for some great pics--enjoy!

our lil' athlete

I have come to the conclusion that interest in sports in something kids are born with and my nephew, JJ, and my little Judah are living proof. Judah just loves balls and had not been around a basketball hoop to my knowledge, but just took to this one in a friend's back yard like a champ. I love the one in the middle and the look of determination and all of the other ones as they reflect various efforts, some successful, others not, to put that ball through the hoop. Reminded me of the last time we saw my nephew and watched him play with a ball and "boop" just like this.

Happy Day!

Owen and I had a great day on his first field trip with his preschool! He saw brown goats, learned about how pumpkins grow, took a hayride, picked a pumpkin and ended up at his favorite park. It was so neat to see his wide-eyed expressions as he entered into the entire esperience so thoroughly. What a blessing! Here are the rest of the pictures:
