sunday dress

I put this adorable dress on Layna this past sunday and then we took pictures.
This is a favorite. If you want to see all 62, just click on this link:

How fun it is to dress our little munchkin. Note: Because of the way I'm standing, I may look pregnant in some of the pictures, but I assure you that I am NOT.

paybacks

I think she's getting him back for the armlock:)

he's already got her . . .

in some wrestling hold . . . just like my big brother used to do with us . . . although I do think using your mouth is illegal. This is the first time I ever thought to put them on the changing table together. Of course I didn't change their diapers at the same time. I just keep seeing them be in close quarters with each other and they seem used to it and to enjoy it. It's really fun to see them beginning to interact, notice, and enjoy each other.

blue-eyed boys

I put the boys in these matching clothes . . . Owen wasn't terribly cooperative, but this is my favorite of the set I took. Judah is the "cool" one with his collar up.

Hiya!

This is a "special" chair that came from Grandpa VanWyck. He had 2--one for him and one for his late wife. He still uses his everyday and we know have this one in our bedroom. We have a picture of Owen sitting with his arm on the arm of the chair, so I couldn't resist taking several pictures of the twins in this chair the other day. Judah has his arm around Layna, though it's hard to tell. We haven't had great success at getting them both to smile at the same time--hopefully that day will come:)

yeah jussley!

Jussley is our "live-in" for the summer . . . I can't believe this is the first post with her in it! Anyway, she is much more than a live-in, she is a part of our family in so many ways and a younger version of me (except better, of course:), well really me and Abby combined. Anyway, Owen was in love with her before she came and now even more so. One of Owen's newest interests is play-do. During this play-do session, he was high-fiving with Jussley repeatedly. He loves to say "yeah Jussley!"

not so little . . .

Owen had fun playing in the exersaucer wearing Judah's hat . . . when Bri went to take him out, he said "no" . . . so we let him play more. He's so silly:)

jumparoo

Layna loves to play in this little jumparoo that lights up and that she can bounce up and down in. She looks quite intent as she studies the little bear and watches the lights. It's really cute to see her on her tippy toes too:) Owen especially likes to watch his sister while she's in this. He has a foot fettish right now:)

happy together . . .

I can just see what good friends these 2 are going to be. They are as different as night and day and will no-doubt butt heads at times, but I am sure they will complement each other so well. We already can see that when her spirits are up, his aren't and vice versa. It gives me confidence that they will be there for each other over the years.

happy girl

We put the twins in the tub without the sling seat today for the first time and they loved it! Layna has always loved to kick her long legs and being "free" in the water today, she just didn't stop. She was all smiles and what a smile she has!

thumb-sucker

So, our sweet boy has developed a little habit for which I am thankful. Almost as soon as we put him in his crib, he finds his thumb. He's also starting to find it in other places. Today, he found it in the tub and it was really cute. As if he already wasn't a really good baby . . .

annika-bannika

It's hard to believe that this is a picture of my 9 year old niece holding my Judah. It seems like only yesterday that I was in Virginia holding her when she was even smaller than Judah. My how time flies. I am reminded again to enjoy my children while they're young since they really do grow up so fast. Incidently, in the top right part of the frame is Sophia, whom we affectionately call "phia"--she and I spent lots of time together when she was a baby--perhaps the most of any of my sister Kristen's babies. I really enjoyed "re-connecting" with all 4 of my Klingen nieces on two recent visits.
