I put Judah in his crib so that I could give Layna her bath. He was fussing while I was changing her and she needed to settle too. Since I was "on my own" with no help in the house, I thought that I could settle them easier in the same crib rather than in their own. As I moved Judah to Layna's crib, his eyes were open but he was calm. Within minutes of laying him next to her he was asleep, without much additional assistance from me. She settled as I stroked her head and didn't even flinch as Judah stretched his arms out from time to time jostling her little head . . . these are the moments I will never forget.
